Life, Love & Photography :: Meditation and a Simple Way to Start your Meditation Practice.
5-20 minute AM Meditation : Find a quiet spot, set your timer, sit in a comfortable position, close your eyes, breathe in and out of your nose and chant in your head a simple mantra: I like “Sat Nam”. In the ancient Sikh language, Sat means truth. Nam means name. Together, Sat Nam translates into something deeper: “I am truth,” or “Truth is my essence.”
You don’t have to chant, sometimes I just listen to my breath and allow thoughts to float by bringing my attention back to my breath. I also like to visualize a waterfall of golden light showering down over me. A waterfall of the highest vibration of love.
