Below is a delicious gingerbread shake I make for Alex and I every AM. This is also a great way to prepare for your photo shoot. You can start 30 days ahead (once a day) or even a week before.
For me it’s all about taking care of my gut, (while also satisfying my tastebuds) when my stomach is happy I’m happy!
Spice It Up :: Gingerbread Smoothie: (2 servings) Best to buy organic ingredients.
1 inch of fresh ginger
3 – 5 Dates
2 cups of water (as needed)
1 – 2 tablespoons hemp hearts
1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
1/4 teaspoon pumpkin spice blend
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon cardamom
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1 ½ Banana (frozen)
2 handfuls of Kale leaves (frozen)
½ cup frozen berries
6 ice cubes (I love frozen smoothies)
